Decent value for quality

I was looking for some good Italian ingredients and decided to try Food Explore. I grabbed some Riso Carnaroli and a bottle of Aceto balsamico di Modena. I used a newsletter discount code for 10% off, which made the total feel pretty reasonable for what I got. Shipping was free because my order was over 89 euros. It felt like a solid deal for the quality of the products.

Detailed experience with order

I placed an order for some Pecorino, Salame artigianale, and a bottle of Franciacorta. The ordering process on the website was straightforward, I found everything easily. Delivery took 6 days, and everything was securely packaged, especially the cheese, which arrived perfectly chilled. The Pecorino had a rich flavor, and the salame was very authentic. I had a quick question about tracking, and customer support responded to my email within a few hours, which was helpful. Overall, a very positive experience; the product quality matches the description well.

Consistent and reliable

This was my third order from Food Explore, and they're always reliable. I got the Olio extravergine di oliva and some Taralli. Just like my previous orders, the quality was great and shipping was fast. It took about 5 days to reach Denver this time. It's why I keep coming back, good stuff every time.

Good quality, fast shipping

I ordered some Pasta di Gragnano and a jar of Pesto alla genovese last week. It arrived pretty quick, like 4 days, which was nice. Everything was packed well and tasted fresh when I made dinner. No complaints really, it was a smooth process from start to finish.

Loved the Cantucci

Oh my goodness, I bought some Cantucci and a bottle of Limoncello, and they were both amazing! The Cantucci were so crunchy and flavorful. I will definitely be ordering again, maybe for a gift basket next time. My friends will love this place!

I have a welcome coupon code, but it's not working. Is there some trick to it, or do they not stack with sale items?

G Greg 3 weeks ago
Coupons usually don't work on stuff that's already discounted or part of a bundle, unfortunately. Try it on full-price items.

P Paula 3 weeks ago
Yeah, that's what happened to me. They're usually pretty clear in the fine print that you can only use one promo at a time. So no stacking, afaik.

What's their return policy like for food items? What if something arrives damaged or not what I expected?

D Dana R. 1 month ago
You can't really return food, that's pretty standard for groceries. But if it's damaged, contact them ASAP with pics, and they'll usually sort you out with a refund or replacement.

I had a jar of pesto break once, and they sent a new one really fast. Just be sure to tell them right away.

Hey, thinking of ordering some pasta and olive oil from here, but I'm in NYC. How long does shipping usually take to the US?

D Dan 1 month ago
Mine took about a week and a half, maybe 10 days for an order to California. That was for dry goods tho, nothing fresh.

M Marcus 1 month ago
Yeah, I got some cheese and cured meats once, and it arrived in like 8 business days to Boston. They package the fresh stuff really well, too, like with ice packs and all.

How does Food Explore compare to Eataly, especially for things like specialty pasta or olive oil? Worth the extra shipping cost?

T Tom 1 month ago
Eataly is great, but Food Explore often has more unique, smaller-producer stuff you can't find elsewhere. The quality on their olive oil is amazing, way better than anything mass-produced.

I think for really specific artisanal items, Food Explore wins. Eataly has a wider selection but sometimes less 'boutique' items. The price + shipping can make it a bit more, but for a treat, it's worth it for the authenticity.

Are their products actually authentic? Like, is this real Parmigiano Reggiano or some generic stuff?

M Marcus K. 1 month ago
Totally legit. They source directly from small producers in Italy, not big factories. You can tell by the quality.

Oh yeah, super authentic. They pride themselves on that, like finding real artisanal stuff. You won't be disappointed.
